Economy Cars, or Group A and B rental cars are the cheapest vehicle to hire. These automobiles are designed for low-cost operation. They are small cars, usually with only three doors, and although they are not as powerful as cars with larger engines, they represent excellent value for money. A typical car in this group is the Fiat Seicento, a 3-door hatchback. A nippy little car, it is economic and easy to handle and its small size can have great advantages when it comes to parking! Economy vehicles offer a cost effective way of getting from one location to another with the minimum fuss. They are best for city driving and very easy to park. Economy group cars include Opel or Vauxhall Corsa, Ford Fiesta, Fiat Panda or Nissan Micra.

Typical economy cars are small, light weight, and can go relatively fast because of their light weight while at the same time saving a lot of gas. Group A rental cars offered by us will carry two adults in the front and can also take two children in the back seats, but larger passengers in the rear would be a squeeze. If you are travelling with small children, remember to book a child seat in advance, but be aware that a 3-door car can be awkward for getting passengers in and out of. Also, the luggage space is limited - the room in the boot is adequate for small bags but would not be suitable if you are arriving with golf clubs or ski equipment! The Economy Group A cars also include an FM/AM radio and Cassette.

Compact Cars, or Group C Rental Cars include vehicles smaller than a mid-size car, but larger than a sub compact car. In Europe, the term small family car is used for compact cars. Compact cars wheelbases are usually between 2.54 metres (100 inches) and 2.67 metres (105 inches). Another definition specifies between 100 ft(cubic) (2800 L) and 109 ft(cubic) (3000 L) of interior volume. During the 1960s, compacts were the smallest class, but in the early 1970s, automakers initiated even smaller models, the subcompact, such as the Ford Pinto and Chevrolet Vega.

Today, even though the general trimming of all vehicles has blurred size class distinctions to some extent, but the compact segment is still discernible as a class larger than the smallest models but smaller than the average car in the market. The term, compact car, has also been adopted to describe small Sport-utility Vehicles; SUVs, such as the Ford Escape. Compact SUVs are sometimes called "soft-roaders" or "cute-utes".

The Group C 5-door Compact cars offer great value for money. With more space for luggage and passengers than the small, economy cars of Groups A and B, compact cars can be worth their slightly higher rental rate. With an increased capacity, the compact cars still offer great mileage and small size for driving in big cities and parking in small spaces.

Group C rental cars are suitable for a driver and four additional passengers and can hold a good amount of luggage in the boot. A typical car of this class provides a stylish and comfortable hatchback which could suit a family of four or a couple looking for that bit more space.

So if you are looking to rent a slightly largely car than the budget versions, the compact 5-door cars of Group C may be what you're looking for.

Intermediate or Mid-size Group D cars have five doors and plenty of space for the driver, four passengers and their bags. Car seats for children can be fitted, but these should always be requested at the time of booking and will probably incur an additional charge. The intermediate and Mid size, family sized cars can seat 4 adults and luggage and are ideal for longer journeys.

The mid-size class was a developed form of the early 1960s compact cars. One of the first compact intermediate introductions was the Ford Fairlane in 1962. This was true, as it was barely bigger than its close relative the Falcon. The class began to grow almost instantly, yet, and for the next 10 years each development in size in the full-size field was followed by a balanced growth in the mid-sized or intermediate vehicles too.

Mid-size vehicles today usually have wheelbases between 2.68 meters (105 inches) and 2.79 meters (110 inches). Another definition specifies between 110 ft cube (3000 L) and 119 ft cube (3300 L) of interior volume.

Standard Cars are the option to go for when you need a car for a small number of people. Standard Cars offered for rent are larger than the Intermediate cars. Their 'Half Sport, Half Sensible' features make them a perfect rental car for a small family.

Premium cars are great for business trips and family comfort. They are sure to get you to your destination in style and comfort. Premium car rentals include 4-door vehicles and are a delight to drive. They provide comfort and ease during travel and help one stay fresh even after long drives.

People Carriers, Minibuses and Mini-vans are also available for hiring. The vehicles available for hire in this category have five doors and can accommodate a driver and up to six adults. The premium vehicles in the Mini-busses category allow space for up to 9 adult passengers. These vehicles are ideal for large families. The vehicles also have the option of folding down unused seats, and utilize the available space for bags and luggage. Special requirements like child seats and other specific requirements should be requested at booking time.

Mini-vans provide a multi-purpose vehicle hire, and are becoming an increasingly popular choice for holidays and short breaks. They can provide a flexible and enjoyable holiday for families and groups. These vehicles also have a very good distribution of luggage and seat space.
